MTGNews was, for some time, the leader in Magic Rumor. Mainly due to rancored_elf, there was a time when anyone that wanted to have a sneak preview of an upcomming Magic: The Gathering set would go to this site. It was also home of one of the biggest online communities in the history of the game. In the end of 2004 all that changed. There were internal problems and the site lost credibility for some users. This was around the time MTGSalvation was created and the fact that rancored_elf came here ment that a lot of the users followed. MTGSalvation became the leader in Rumors, but there is still a good community at MTGnews.com.
