Revision as of 10:01, 25 January 2015
FNM promos (also Friday Night Magic promotional cards) are foil promotional cards given away as prize support for Friday Night Magic events.
Since 2002 each month has had its own promotional card. Each FNM event, since 2005, gives away four of the current month's prize cards. One is awarded to the player who finishes in first place, another to the second place player, and the remaining two are randomly distributed among the other players who have not already received a prize card. Starting in January 2008 the promos feature alternate art. Previously however, cards were sometimes reprinted with the artwork of their original printings differing from the artwork of their current reprints. Prize cards usually are either popular cards from the current Standard or Extended environment.
